Bodega Veteris Conventus

Tempranillo

Tempranillo is a variety coming from Rioja in Spain. For many years in Spain they have been elaborating this wine blended with others to create those famous Rioja’s wines. In Argentina, Tempranillo was used to increase color on blend wines. Since the 90’s this variety was re discovered and right now is offering its own and strong personality.

Our Tempranillo is complex, with a strong but not hard structure. Sweet tannins and balanced acids give the palate an initial and long enduring taste. To the nose, it gives a bouquet of fresh red fruits such as strawberries and raspberry along with notes of ripped quince. The aroma of the French oak cask also present accompanied by a delightful sweet vanilla scent with finally notes of anisette. This wine is an ideal accompaniment to game, red meats or casserole stews.
